2362 - Lincoln Centre for Counselling
Lincoln
The Lincoln Centre for Counselling is a charity that has been running since 1996. They are based within the Citizen Advice Bureau and have 15 trained counsellors working on a voluntary basis; the Centre Manager is the only paid member of staff. The Charity is largely reliant on donations but has been fortunate enough to receive some external funding to help with the cost of training and equipment.
They are seeking Business Champion support as they have identified some distinct knowledge gaps which they feel need to be filled if they are to move forward and flourish in the future. They are looking for Business Champions who are able to impart their experience and help them move the organisation forward. Ideally, they would like to hear from Business Champions who are aware of the current market and who can help market the charity to make it more accessible, professional and more widely known to the community. Business Champions would be required to attend and participate in 6-weekly Management Meetings and be available for general intermittent support, especially related to marketing and fundraising strategies. They are also looking to appoint a new Treasurer to the Board, and would be keen to hear from any Business Champion who may wish to take on this role.
