Netherfield
The Netherfield Forum is a charitable organisation originally formed by residents of Netherfield. The Forum owns and manages the St George’s Centre, a self-funded information hub at the heart of the community, along with the Loco Centre, a converted Methodist Church which it leases from the Church to provide youth provision and services, activities and training courses, and opportunities to Netherfield and the wider community. The principle aim of the Charity is promote, for public benefit, urban and rural regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation in particular Netherfield in Nottingham. To do this, it focuses on the relief of poverty, the advancement of education, the creation of training opportunities, the creation of employment opportunities, the provision of recreational facilities, the promotion of public safety and the prevention of crime.
The Netherfield Forum are looking to recruit some new Trustees to the Board. Champions will have the opportunity to play a strategic role and contribute greatly to the local community. Management meetings are held on a monthly basis, on the last Monday of the month. They are particularly looking for Champions who are able to assist with the formation of a Business Plan aimed at ensuring the future development of the organisation.
